Been seeing these cards drop in price, and this one has no tax outside of NJ/NY.
It also comes with Rocket League and ships for free. Not amazing, I mean, certainly not FP worthy, but not bad. B&H has had some lukewarm deals lately.

this is not a good deal.. are you insane..

hahahaha

the 1060 3gb went for $190, yea it's the Gimp chip, but still, this card costs 38% more, but it's only ~10% faster..
It's only good for mining. I could say it's the best for mining right now (Mhs/W)

Rocket League costs $10 not $50. This isn't a deal. Look at EVGA B-Stock.

Is it worth paying $5 more to get the SC version??

I've been waiting out on a 1070 deal for ages but I give up, I'll settle for 1060. Maybe, just maybe, BF might be some amazing good deals on 1070 or 1080 but I was thinking of getting the 3GB version temporary and then swap out. But knowing all the miners and scripters all preparing for BF, I'll lose out on a 1070 deal.

So for 1060, is 3GB worth $200? Is it worth paying $65 more for this 6GB model (or $70 for SC 6GB)?

This thing only has 1 single fan which makes the cooling pretty weak.... also how does Evga fare against other brands like Gigabyte models?

Tbh the 6gb model really isn't worth that much price bump. 3gb for $200 certainly isn't a bad deal. Unless you're dead sure that u'll use up all the 3gb memory, I'd say go for the 3gb model.

Some games see as much as a 40% bump at 1080p on the 6gb version.

Ended up grabbing the 6GB. I know it's ridiculous price for small performance, but I always like headroom when it comes to memory. My friend paid around $280 around launch for the 6GB so while the still high price sucks, I'll live with it.

If that's an honest question: the card performs very well for modern games. If you're running games at 1080p, 60fps minimum all the way. I've played games at 4K resolution on the 6GB version of this card and the fps has rarely dropped below 60fps on max details. Though the price on many cars are inflated nowadays with the short supply, keep in mind these newer cards use significantly less electricity than older cards. I upgraded from a GTX 770. This thing will slowly pay for itself with the reduce electricity costs.

I am suffering the high temputure at non-sc version! Always running at 83°C and always throttling! Cant go under 80 despite the fan runs at maxium speed. It is ridiculous at 130w tdp level.

Today I tear down the heatsink, find out it just pure aluminum with no heat pipe and a little cooper at the center. NEVER TOUCH THIS VERSION!

Luckly, I grab an acx2.0 heatsink assemble from my friend, allow it runs at max 70°C. Also, vram need thermal pad if you planning overlook it.

For someone already own this or buying this: A 20 bucks Arctic Cooler would change everything.
