EVGA's UVPlus+ 39, uses any available USB2.0 or USB3.0 port on your desktop, laptop or notebook computer and turns it into additional video output for use with other displays, be it an LCD, CRT, Projector or HDTV. You can use this extra space for increased productivity, multitasking, gaming, multimedia video, graphics editing, and much more.

that's cool but most aren't. outside of your bubble, projectors used in conference rooms and schools and universities, many many are still VGA. thus, to make this device universally useful to everyone...VGA was added to one side of the cube. when i visit suppliers, i don't prance around demanding a 4K projector. i use what they have. 75%+ of the time they are still using a projector with VGA. why? b/c it still works and they have no reason to replace it.

instead of whining about the manufacturer utilizing HDMI, DVI, and VGA b/c you personally don't have a need for all of them, how about you just keep your mouth shut and just use the ports you need. i've never seen someone whine so much about a company giving you MORE options Facepalm

Seems like decent price if you need one. Same price at Newegg [newegg.com] after applying coupon code 925CABPM5 for 50% off.

EVGA, UV Plus? Didn't realize gamers needed sunblock.

serious: is this just a USB-> VGA display adapter and nothing else?

I used one of these at work for a few years to add a third monitor. It worked fine and I had no issues with it. Now that I'm on 4 monitors (with the 2 middle ones being 4k), this is in my laptop bag as an "in case I need one". If you have the need for one or just want to use an old monitor as an added display, it's a nice device.

If your laptop has it's own video outputs, you can use 3-4 monitors with this.
