Great price but I'd read the reviews before purchasing.

yes, some very ugly reviews. If they're legit rather than user installation error, I can only imagine how aggravated i would be to have a TV damaged because the mount was rubbish.

Exactly, this doesn't seem like a good place to go cheap for $10 savings

I've used several of these. Yes, it's lightweight and thin...but think about it - why do you need a ton of metal? All of the weight of the TV is on the top rail, so it just needs to be thick enough to not bend - which it is. Yes, it has little clearance to the wall - and that's why I bought it. I don't want a four inch gap behind my TV so you can see a bunch of wires. I wanted a close, clean look. I currently have a 60" and a 49" TV hanging on these.

Granted, I did have an issue where the bolts were mis-manufactured (hex head was missing!) and they replaced the entire unit. Use some common sense and you'll be fine.

Damn, I just bought a mount last week for $13. I'm too lazy to take the TV down, take it off the TV and wall, and return it just to save a few bucks. Not worth my time.

I used very similar mounts from Harbor Freight... huge pain to adjust and the bracket was visible on either side of my 40" TV but if you're not picky, it'll get the job done. I'm pretty confident that damage to the television would be user error. Make sure you anchor the mount to a stud and you'll be fine.

Just want to make sure we are talking about the same unit here. Do these have bolts for studs or smaller bolts and drywall anchors?

Reviewers say these don't have the bolts for studs. I looked at the pics and i literally saw the plastic anchors. The bolts do not look like they are long enough to hit studs.

Similar but not the same. The picture of these shows drywall anchors. I personally have never seen a wall mount with those before. I don't expect to see them on a mount that's rated for over 20 or so pounds. Even cheap mounts from rosewill have had bolts that are supposed to go into studs.

If I was to get this I would basically ignore any instruction to use the anchors and go straight to stud with hardware store high strength bolts.
