Not just one hand. Since I was holding my wife, we had a total of three hands to install it.

We have the same style but the gold colored one - big fan of the belt and myQ. Two downsides to myQ - you have to buy a separate gateway (chamberlain or liftmaster works) and they aren't playing nice with smartthings right now

Edit: just dawned on me - maybe since this one has WiFi it no longer needs the gateway?

How difficult would be to install this on your own?

It's weird that I don't see a lot of chain drive garage opener deals. πŸ˜•

Not too bad at all. Depending on your current model you may have to fabricate a different way to hang it or modify the existing angle iron strapping so the holes will line up.

Its not that hard...I did it along with another friend and we were able to get it done in a few hours..we took more time to remove the old one because there nuts were all old and rusted... And both of us are not that handy... YouTube helped a lot...

For the viewers out there - can you elaborate on why you prefer the chain over belt? The belt is by far quieter and not messy.

I got a chain drive due to durability. It's not that loud either. My garage door itself is louder than the chains when in use. But if one lube/grease the chains properly it is very quiet. For me doesn't really matter how loud the garage door opener is cause my garage is detached.

I went slow to avoid mistakes and it took about 6 hours to remove the old opener and install the new one. Had to grab my wife to help a few times, just to hold something steady.

I hung two Chamberlain openers like this one by myself with no problem. The instructions are excellent, and except for the angle irons all mounting material comes in the box with the opener. You may also need a piece of 2x4 or 2x6 to mount the end of the rail over your garage door
