Ancestry.com website membership discount

286 128 September 26, 2017 at 06:51 AM
My sister wants a membership for Christmas. The best price I see is $19.99 per month or $99 for 6 months. I did see a 14 day free trial. Looked for coupons without any luck. Pointing me in the way of some better deals would be appreciated. Thanks.

Not sure if this helps, groupon runs sales every once in a while

https://www.groupon.com/deals/fam...1-national (though this is for the kit)

Most public libraries give you free access with your library card. You can't get any cheaper than that.

Your link is not for an Ancestry.com subscription. Your link is for a DNA test, and not even an Ancestry DNA test, but one with a completely different company...

Sign up for the trial. Near the end of the trial, when you go to cancel, it will ask why. Select the choice "Price is too high" and often times they will offer you a discount. If they don't, go ahead and cancel, and you'll get an email from them the next time they offer a half price promo.
(In fact, I subscribe nearly always, but I keep a second free account so that they will notify me when the subscriptions go on sale occasionally. When I see that email, I cancel my main account and resubscribe it again at the sale rate.)
