Wonder how strong the monopod is and what the weight limit is. I scanned the reviews but couldn't tell how many people are mounting canon 5d with 300mm lenses or similar heavy setups. Price is great though especially with the coupon. Can anyone recommend a great monopod around $50 or so? Read a bunch of reviews and analysis paralysis.

I haven't bought a monopod lately, but I'm pretty sure you can get almost any model in the $50 range (minus carbon fiber of course). And if you aren't using a ballhead you'll be able to mount anything you want on it.

(I have a cheapy manfrotto monopod that's done just fine with a 400 2.8 on it.)

Just got this tripod a couple of weeks ago. It's an awesome tripod for the price. I got a cheap ball head (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MGJH...YzbDZ0Y7S2 you'll need a screw adapter) and it's awesome. I already had a monopod, it's handy to have an extra one with your tripod.

Description states "Max Load capacity, 8.8 lbs" not sure if that is tripod or monopod, maybe both?

Coupon code seems to be dead at checkout. Did anyone else experience the same thing?

My mistake. The discount was already applied and I didn't notice since I had other items in my cart.

I have a Dolica tripod, I am wondering which one would be the better fit.

I bought this tripod too. Loving it so far for the price. I am a little novice at this, but you're saying that some part of my tripod can unscrew and fit this ball head? TIA.
