This eight-person instant tent requires no assembly because the poles are pre-attached to the tent, just unfold and extend. Fits 2 queen air beds or 8 sleeping bags. - SlickDealio

the main issue with instant tents is that since the poles are built into the tent, when they break (And they will) the tent ends up in the trash since the poles cannot be replaced. with a regular pole style tent if a pole breaks you just get a cheap replacement pole and u can still use the tent.

Nice find. It's now showing up even lower at $99. Let the fall season discount tent begin.

We are looking for a good tent but Ozark quality gives me pause. And Walmart customer service gives me more pause. Are there usually tent deals that come around this time of year?

I got a different but similar Ozark tent on a deal earlier this year and tested it out in a heavy downpour overnight and no water got in it. Still treated it with some waterproofing spray and seam sealer right after that just to be safe before I use it for camping in 2 weeks. These tents are great car camping tents I think. Price is great on this one. I also found a small tear in the rainfly I think after my 5 year old tripped on it and I contacted the manufacturer and they sent a new one but took like 2-3 weeks.

Yeah. Last year I got a Coleman 8 person two room tent that is huge. 100% waterproof with no need for a rain fly, and instant setup that has been amazing. It was around 120 and worth every penny.

Beware with Ozark tents. Not all Ozark tents are stable & buit to last (for even a couple of camping trips). $99 sale for a regular priced 8-person tent for $149... You get what you paid for.

We bought a high rated Coleman tent this summer off Amazon and the second time we used it the elastic in the poles broke. Just want a solid tent that will last. Too often the fabric on these tents is so thin it looks like it would tear. That seems to be the complaint in some of these Ozarks.

Completely agree.
I have a Coleman instant and since then, my sister and parents have bought in too. We all camp at least 6 times a year, and it's been nothing but perfect. I'd be afraid of the Ozark quality if something breaks. Instant tents are great for family though, especially if setting up at night. Just beware, it's much heavier than your average tent.

Yeah, but set this up in SF or NY and all the apartment dwellers will be jealous.

I have a coleman instant 5 tent and a ozark instant 8 tent I paid about $99 for both after realizing the coleman was too small for my family. We have used them both and have found them both to be adequate as long as you practice setting them up and putting them away. As others have commented on these instant tents, the polls will break if you force them. Also make sure to lay down some sort of appropriate ground cover to protect the tent from punctures and tears. Mine have held up nice, 2 years with the coleman and 1 year with the ozark. Other than the ground cover and some seam sealer the ozark trail 8 person instant tent offers the most bang for your buck imo.
