Any feedback on this laptop model and deal? Been using my work laptop for personal for years now and finally decided it is time for my own. Also considering waiting for Black Friday deals.

The laptop is phenomenal, without question. One of the best on the market for what it is, the real question is whether your gonna end up with a lemon being a refurbished unit. For less than a $200 difference you can buy this as an open box from best buy and probably be better off being sure you can at least return it in store should you have issues.

I agree. I own this laptop with these same specs and I love it. I bought mine open box certified for $1245 from Best Buy.

I have the hd screen instead b.c. I wanted a better battery life. But it's a great laptop. My only issue is that it doesn't have a dedicated gpu. And it does get a bit hot. Next step is liquid cooling system and it can take on the Windows surface Book head on for fraction of the price.

I found this laptop at a local best buy as an open box for $1245. Thinking of buying it but I'm wondering if it is worth buying the extended warranty. HP seems to put out quality computers. For those who own this laptop, did you purchase the extended warranty?

But you can always get the 4K screen and just run 1080p resolution and get that battery life out of this, it's not really a reasonable excuse to not buy this

Tbh It really wasn't worth it for me. I got it like 6 months ago and the price point was different. Second, 4k is a bit over rated on a 13 inch screen. Lol

So I have this exact laptop I bought on eBay for this same price refurbished from HP. I love it, best laptop I've ever owned and the 4K display is drop dead gorgeous.

Also mine didn't include the pen but the surface pro 3, 4, and 5 pens will all work great. I went to the Microsoft store and bought the new surface pen for mine!

I do want to say that when you receive this there will be a preinstalled app called HP support assistant that will offer you 25% off an extended warranty from HP with the coupon code HPCARES. My 3 year warranty with accident replacement and even LoJack came out to an extra $200...

Are you in here complaining that this isn't a gaming laptop for you? Do you know what this is to begin with? I'm really curious.

Disagree - 4K can absolutely be appreciated on a 13".

Seriously unless you talk about your system?
What is NVIDIA GeForce 940MX (2GB GDDR5 dedicated) ?
Not the most powerful but still dedicated GPU.

I just bought the xps 15 refurb two weeks ago. It's a little more expensive but comparing build quality, 15in screen and a better gpu, it's worth it.

My system? I have the same farking laptop.
So you complain it doesn't have a dedicated GPU but this one does, you are stating 4K is overrated on a 13" screen but this one is 15" and you are saying you have the same farking system?
Doesn't make any sense does it?
