Reports that offer still applies even if you get expired or not valid error:

As stated earlier, when trying to apply the promo code with my citi MasterCard double cash back it gives me the expired or not valid code, but if you proceed with the 30 day trial anyways. And then go to "my digital subscription " it gives you the message

Subscription Renewal
On October 27, 2017, your Unlimited subscription will renew at $0.00/month. The following promotion applies after your free trial: CITIMUSIC offer.

Citi and Amazon are teaming up to offer a free $30 credit towards Amazon Music Unlimited, which will work out to be good for 5 free months for Prime Members or about 4 free months for those without a Prime membership (including the normal 30-day trial).

The Deal
Citi cardmembers (personal credit cards and debit cards only, Costco and Chairman card excluded) can get a promotional credit of $30 towards Amazon Music unlimited (which stacks with the free 30-day trial)

https://www.amazon.com/gp/adlp/ci...f16e27ab69

Click where it says "get started" and promo code CITIMUSIC should be applied to your account automatically

Key Terms

Offer ends 11:59pm PT November 14, 2017 (or sooner if the deal runs out)
Offer is good for an Amazon Music Unlimited individual plan only (no family plan)
Limited to new Amazon Music Unlimited subscribers
See the link above for full terms
Price reverts to $9.99/month without Prime or $7.99 with Prime after your $30 credit is used

Note that those who have been Amazon Music Unlimited subscribers in the past are not eligible as per the terms. Also note that Citi business cards, Costco cards, and Chairman's cards are not eligible per the terms. However, other personal cards and debit cards should be eligible to take part in this deal.

I too received ""The promotion code is not valid or has expired." I have a citi AAdvantage card. Can't remember for sure, but I may have done a 5 day trial of Amazon Unlimited a few months ago when trying to listen to a couple of songs on my phone. Boo.

The link already contains the promo code. The page says the CITIMUSIC promo will apply after the trial period. No need to manually enter CITIMUSIC. You get the "not valid or has expired" message if you manually enter the promo code again.

When I signed up, it confirmed that after the trial is over, my subscription will renew at $0.

First attempt said invalid code, then updated the payment info with another CITI card and made it "default", then it went through. I was pissed when I saw the "30 day trial", but I have the same thing as you (i.e., it'll renew at $0 when it expires). This will be a good way to compare Amazon Music with Spotify. I don't care how many songs or artists Spotify has over Amazon; if what I listed to is covered by both, I'm going with the cheapest Smilie
