Amazon Alexa deals and Add-ons now available in Amazon Music App

This is the first time I posted an announcement and I am not sure exactly where to post it. Most likely this is the wrong place but I want to make sure it gets out there.

With Alexa now available in the Amazon Music App you should now have access to Alexa deals and Add-on deals.

Amazon Alexa is now available in the Amazon Music App. They advertise that you can now use voice control, which is great and all but i found out you can use it the same way you would the echo at home. I was able to look up items on the Amazon Store and most likely purchase as well (I didnt go thru the full check out process). It does allow you to control your smart devices as well. I tested it by turning on and off the lights (TP Link outlets). I havent tested it to see if it will allow you to by pass the add on requirements. If it does then that will be good for some of the deals posted here on SD. I hope this post helps others.

Edit: So with all the Thumbs down I'm getting for this post I decided to test it by ordering an Add-on item and see if it will bypass the minimum requirement. I was successful in placing the order so now I know for certain items can be purchased without restrictions. no more waiting to get home to use an Echo or Alexa enabled device. I hope that helps.

If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

That's what I was thinking and thought I would post it since all the media is only talking about voice control for music. But I don't know why all the thumbs down.

Go change your title perhaps.... (use advanced editing to get to the title)

State "Alexa deals and add-on purchases now available through Amazon Music App", that should get people's (positive) attention Smilie

this is good info but remote access to Alexa, its deals and the add-on workaround has been available for a long time through 3rd party apps such as Reverb.

I didn't know that. I always see people saying they have to wait to get home to do the deal or sleeving like that because they don't have their echo to place the order. So I figured this would help those who are at the office or not at home.

yes a lot of folks dont and whenever i see such threads i make sure i tell them about these remote apps. Again its good to have this integrated via one of amazons own apps as i believe it mightbe more stable and reliable.
