Do you know if there is a difference in special features? So far all I know is the video/audio quality is the same as disney's release. The only difference so far is the english subtitles are now provided by Ghibli rather than the dubtitles from disney dubs. If the special features are the same wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy the disney version?

From what has been announced by GKIDS, the only thing different is the new english subtiles for the Japanese audio. No news on the special features.

Still no digital copy. Disney sure screwing with everyone.
Can we get these for $5 add on from vudu so we can have digital copies or does vudu not have ghibli anymore?

I have never known vudu to have any ghibli films. Im still waiting/hoping it eventually happens. I dont understand why they dont do it, especially when they are re-releasing some of the movies.

Good to know this! Gkids is doing awesome jobs with Ghibli's property.
Thanks to them I was able to catch Nausicaa in the theater via Fathom Events.

So. . .absolutely no reason to buy these if you already have the Disney release. Got it.

So they re released it with no digital copy... continuing the biggest complaint about the Disney release. Way to go, Gkids

Don't blame GKids. Blame Studio Ghibli for not wanting to do digital versions. There aren't even any in Japan, let alone overseas.

Why wouldn't Ghibli or Gkids want it re released on digital? Too much work?
