No way. The 40 inch will be 350 & the 50 400. That's what Best Buy was last year. I did, however see H H Gregg had it for 300 but look where they are...ha ha. I tried BB to PM em and they couldn't (cuz it was BF). They did throw in a Zagg screen "protector" for my S7 Edge I'd jus gotten.

Back to topic at hand: I just don't see anyone going THAT low for BNIB.

Paid $299 for the UN40KU6290FXZA last year @BestBuy.

A lot of people want to use these as monitors, I wasn't at all impressed with the screen for that function, that said, I upgraded to the Samsung UN43KU7500 43" 4K UHD Curved Smart LED TV in April, and it has been a FANTASTIC upgrade, I spend all day working from home for a company, I literally sit and stare at this screen for 8+ hours a day, 5 days a week. It's huge, the curve makes a real tangible difference in the picture quality edge to edge, and also makes for a more immersive experience.

For a bedroom though, I bet the UN43MU6300 would work great, at a distance of 6ft+ the 40" looked great.

Weren't these $289 at Best Buy last year? I'm 90% sure I bought this exact set at BB last year for $289, unless these have some feature mine doesn't. Will check purchase history for model number later.

Those were 6240 or 6290 or the likes. Not the 6300. They were the crappier BF specific model that people love to buy because of price and then complain when quality is not up to par

could you explain the actual quality difference?
I couldn't find too much when I did the research a couple months ago apart from the remote controller differences

of course the $299 was a 40 inch last year.
Hopefully we'll see another 40" for $300 this year. But honestly, the MU6300 line is pretty crap.

This is a 43", and it's also an IPS-type panel.
It's the only size in the mu6300 line that has an IPS panel. All other sizes have VA panels.

This is like budget IPS monitor in terms of picture quality, with the crappy contrast to go with it, and it doesn't get very bright.
I'm using one right now, but I'm returning it after I use it for 2 months. Mine came with a cluster of red pixels on the screen.

I don't think this 43" samsung will dip below $350 this year.
Last year, the un43ku6300 didn't dip below $399 before it went out of stock. 43" is just not a popular size for some reason.

At the $300-$400 price range, it's all pretty much mediocre, but at least you have a few other choices for 43" size.... like hisense, TCL, sharp.
It's too bad, because 43" is the perfect size for pc monitor. like having four 21inch monitors with no bezels down the middle.

Link626 above pretty much said it all. The 6xxx line is pretty much the bare minimum 4K line from Samsung with fake HDR and ips panels. Aim for at least the 8000 series to get inky black with VA panels that offer amazing contrast as well. But if this class of TV is where you have to shop, then stick with the 6290 or the 6300, don't go lower

I have this TV and I think the picture quality is great. I got it from Samsung last year for $311 or something like that. Maybe you got a bad one?
