B&H Photo Video has 27" Dell U2717D 2560x1440 InfinityEdge IPS LED Monitor = $418 + free shipping. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/pr...rp_27.html

Seems to be the newer version of the U2715H. Was looking for a deal on this monitor for a while and this is around 100 cheaper than any other deal I found. Also sweeter is the no sales tax or fees for California. Previous deal: https://slickdeals.net/f/8693127-27-dell-u2717d-2560x1440-infinityedge-led-monitor-150-dell-egift-card-547-free-shipping

Good maybe this will drive the prices down on the U2715H. I want another one to match my existing one, they are already a few years old and they are still selling for ~$450

Yeah I was about to buy that one but it's more expensive, older, and has larger bezels.

Good review, here: http://thewirecutter.com/reviews/...h-monitor/

I've been wanting to buy a new monitor. I don't [ever] game (although I guess I might plug my old Xbox 360 in there and play Modern Warfare 2). This is 100% for development work (coding, spreadsheets, PDFs, etc.)

Have relatively bad eyesight. Trying to decide between a 27" 2560 like this or a 32" 4K like I've seen with some of the refurbished BenQs. Again, I don't need xSync or any sort of rapid refresh rate, other than what'll help with eyestrain.

Use Macs/Linux exclusively. Anyone have any suggestions on what's good/reasonably priced? Reps for good info!

Oddly enough I just bought one this morning at B&H before I even saw this deal posted or received the alert.

Still using old HP 24" I've had for about 6/7 years

Plus with free expedited shipping it'll be here in 3 days.

If eyesight is enough of an issue for you to mention it, you probably don't need the ppi you're talking about. I have a 1080 27" and love it, but it is limited real estate. I would look for a 30-32" 2K monitor. The 32" HP pavilion keeps coming up and the lowest I've seen is $205 refurbished. Around $300 is a reasonable price for a 30"+ 2k. Or you could go the ultrawide route but that gets expensive if you get beyond 1080

Is this good for gaming? I'd be interested in something good for gaming as well as 4k video editing

Wouldn't it be better to get it here from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01D402...g=UTF8&me= for $1 more but a much better return policy?

I am wondering the same thing. Am I missing something?

I'd much rather have this 4K monitor:

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-2...Id=5770300

The price of this one bounces around all over the place, from $399 to $499.

What differences are there that makes the Dell more desireable?

Amazon will probably have sales tax for most now.

The sales tax is one difference, outside of NY and NJ.

Not true if you use a Marketplace seller, even if fulfilled by Amazon. There are few options for $419 no tax w/Prime.
