I would love to get the RC-64, but I got my RC-62 for less than $150. The Cherry finish looks nice.

I know exactly what you mean. I'm in the same boat!

Now I wonder if the RP-250S surrounds are worthwhile Smilie

Are the 250S worth the extra money? I've been comparing the 250S vs 160M. Please advise.

I'm trying to decide between the RP-250s and RP-240s. Is the step up worth it for surrounds?

I had the same dilemma last week and read several posts on AVS forums. The 250s are better than the rp160 for surround purposes sound wise for sure. They are a better choice functionally if you need something more narrow to fit on a shelf or mount on the wall as the 250s have mounting hardware at the back preinstalled. The 250s are only 7.5" in depth.

How are they with sound quality when it comes to music? I'm about a 40% music guy. Would I even use them when playing music? All channel stereo?

For all channel stereo just save the money and get RP 160. Bipolar surrounds like the 250s only make a real difference in properly encoded surround movie tracks. I am 80% movies so I went with them.
