These pans absolutely rock. I only have the bigger of the two frying pans, but have had it for a good while now and it's my go-to. Like it better than the calphalon pans I purchased once upon a time for a fair bit more.

I ordered the 12-piece from Amazon in July for $60, if memory serves. It looks like this includes a large, deep pan and a rectangular griddle. The extra two might be worth it for some people. I ended up needing a deep pan for dishes that have a heavy sauce component (e.g. chicken a la king), and, amusingly, wound up at TJ-Max buying a T-fal one (probably that exact one in the picture) for around $20 or so.

I've been thinking a lot about new pans. Someone on Reddit recommended getting one stainless steel frying pan for most everything and then a non-stick mostly for eggs. So my question would be how does this compare to a stainless steel set

I think setting up deal alerts to buy piece by piece as you need it is a smart way to go. Sweethome has some good info: http://m.thesweethome.com/reviews...kware-set/

How does this set compare to Kohl's T-fal set? Which is better?

I bought 2 All-Clad stainless frying pan & tried to cook eggs & gave up, they are now dust collectors, wife won't use them. Just too difficult to cook & clean.

Have had this set, minus the griddle, for couple years and love them. Ended up going out and buying the same griddle as well. Set seems like a great deal for $85. Plus it's a set that doesn't have 3-4 cooking utensils counted as pieces which is rare.

Any idea if these are made in USA? If not, is there any decent brand\set like this that is made in USA?
