A few problems here.

1) Your "authorized dealer" list is a list of those authorized for HOME APPLIANCES.... not televisions.

here's the TV authorized dealers-
http://www.lg.com/us/authorizedde..._retailers

and these guys aren't on it.

2) Being authorized or not doesn't actually make any difference to LGs TV warranty anyway.

3) The price is more than Beach camera, who is on the authorized list, was getting for this set (I wanna say they were getting 2600 if you called- but the even better deal is the 2200 they're getting for the B7A with the exact same picture)

I show $2996.99 and free shipping at Beach. How do we get it for $2200?

LG is price fixing, which I thought was illegal. Why is it that they still are the only game in town re: OLED.
I know OLED screens are available from Sony and one other company but they are still LG screens and cost even more.
As competative as the electronics industry is, it seems LG has had a lock on the market for several years. These sets would have dropped in price long ago if price fixing was not involved.

I don't believe it's price fixing if there's no collaboration with another supplier of panels. LG is free to sell their panels for whatever price they want to. If there was another company who made panels and that company and LG discussed a fixed price they'd agree to both sell at, that's price fixing. For a high-profile example of price fixing recently, see Apple and major ebook retailers.

I could be wrong but I think LG is still the only manufacturer of OLED panels for televisions. I know Sony uses LG OLED panels.

When you're the only manufacturer you can set prices pretty much wherever you want. It's up to other manufacturers to start producing panels.

There are over 30 OLED panel makers. Of those, 5 make large panels for TV.

yeah- not really though.... regarding those 5-

One of course is LG, who is actually making large OLED TV panels.

One of them is Sony.

Who uses LG displays in their large OLED TVs LMAO

AFAIK the only thing Sony makes its own large OLED panels for is professional monitors, and "large" is relative as they're mostly in the 17-30" range- not 55-77".... mostly their OLED production is on SMALL screens (phones, VR headsets, etc)

Another is Samsung who has largely abandoned the idea of OLED for large TVs and instead shifted to QLED, which isn't really getting the job done right now.... mostly their OLED production is on SMALL screens (for phones/tablets/etc)

Another is China Star Optoelectronics Technology, which has demoed test OLED screens as "big" as 31"... but doesn't appear to actually be producing any large OLED screens... but it's working on a factory (as it has been for years now)- but again mostly they're doing SMALL screens.

And lastly there's Panasonic... who abandoned developing their own OLED large TV panels years ago.

They DO sell OLED TVs... overseas only... using... LG panels

All of Panasonic's OLED TV sets use WRGB OLED panels produced by LG Display.

The B7A from beach is $500 less and the exact same panel. Only differences are the bezel and speakers.

If you buy from someplace out of state that doesn't charge you NJ state sales tax, but you are using it in NJ, you still owe the tax

It's just your legal responsibility to pay it.
