I've been shopping for business class laptops for a while and after stalking the lenovo outlet and dell outlet for a while this deal popped up today.

Keep in mind you can get these a lot cheaper with the coupons, but with less impressive hardware.

"Dell Outlet Latitude 7480 Laptop"

14.0 inch FHD (1920x1080) Anti-Glare LCD"
Intel Dual-Band Wireless-AC 8265 Wi-Fi + BT 4.2"
16 GB DDR4 Non-ECC SDRAM 2400MHz (1x16GB)"
512GB PCIe M.2 NVMe Class 40 Solid State Drive"
"Intel Vpro technology advance management features"
Palmrest Dual Pointing With Fingerprint Reader and Smart Card Reader (Contactless)"
Internal US English Qwerty Backlit Dual Pointing Keyboard"
Intel HD Graphics"
60 WHr, 4-Cell Battery"
: "Windows 10 Pro"
Processor: Intel Core 7th Generation i7-7600U Processor (Dual Core, up to 3.90 GHz, 4M Cache, 15W) + Thunderbolt 3"
90 Watt AC Adapter"
IR camera

I wanted longer battery life and less weight so I went with non-touch screen and FHD instead of QHD

thunderbolt, NVME and fingerprint reader drove the price up a lot as well.

I know it doesn't have the latest 8th gen processor but with business class models they may never get gen 8 with a 7480.

Coupons to use 225L141512 is $225 off laptops over $999
plus

use a referral code you can generate referring yourself from another email on the dell website for 5% off

plus go to raise.com and buy a gift card for another 5% off

Already discounted laptop price on outlet was $1218 -5%(referral) -225(coupon) = 932 - %5 RAISE = $885

new this laptop is $2100 that's roughly 57% off - pretty slick!

I would have mentioned the final price in the title, but I guess slickdeals does not allow it.

Since I called in the order in I'm not even sure which quality I got refurb, or new. My experience has always been they all look new from dell outlet and with a 3yr warranty I didnt really care.

Another tip, if you don't see the exact configuration you want, use the chat feature and they will find it for you and even call to take the order.

Looks like they're getting rid of the 7th gen U series. With the 8th gen out having quad core with significantly better multi-core performance the 7th gens are a hard sell unless they're really cheap.

Great, thank you. You may want to put refurb or new as well in title. Which is it?

I looked at my order and I'm not sure how to tell, and since I called in the order in I'm not even sure which type it was refurb, or new. My experience has always been they all look new from dell outlet. I don't think they offer this i7 anymore so I would guess it's probably a close-out new laptop. With a 3 yr warranty I didn't really care and the price between the 2 is only like 15$ in the outlet.

If this were a consumer model I would say so, but with business models things stick around a lot longer, they even sell windows 7 6th gen chips for a premium because of legacy systems.

somehow 7480 is not that light weight, I would wait for the 7380 with the new 8 gen cpus. The only advantage for 7480 I think is the QHD screen which is really beautiful and 32GB ram capability. unfortunately, you can't get wwan with qhd option.

I considered those, but the battery life isn't great and it heats up a lot, which is probably why they only give you a 1 yr warranty on them (they know it won't last) That and the 8th gen may not come till next year
