......
You have to make it half price for it to be a deal.
I bet even AMD engineer and sales people would tell you to stay away. I have no idea why they even release this chip.

I have personally never seen a deal like that but maybe it is because I don't take notice to amd laptop deals

There are so many issues with amd apus, between the architecture being obsolete, not supported well, and vulnerable to bad motherboard design decisions. (There's an anandtech article about all the issues that go with an amd apu laptop). it is worth pointing out that some of those issues had to do with single channel memory implementation back when they were using ddr3-1600 and using the onboard apu graphics, and this has ddr4-2400 and had a separate discrete 560 gpu

my general feeling is that if you want an amd apu laptop, wait for the 8th generation raven ridge and pair it with the fastest ddr4 you can get.

there was supposed to be an ?asus? ryzen laptop pairing an ryzen 8 core/16 thread with the 580, but I don't think it's actually on the market.

if you get this, investigate whether it is and/ or supports dual channel memory and how it interacts with the discrete gpu.
