Good rate for quality food. I pay 3-4 per pound for prescription food but wish I could serve this instead

People will pay $1 per pound for crappy cat food like Meow Mix, Friskies, 9 Lives which is mostly corn and other low quality ingredients. This contains no corn, wheat, soy, or by products. The protein percentage is 42 which is one of the highest I've seen.; I'm surprised this hasn't received more attention...EEK!

My thumbs ups I had earlier disappeared...

I checked ingredients list, and Wild Cat was not mentioned there at all. Harumph! The search goes on.

Is it Hill's for urinary crystals? My cat had that problem and the vet tried to push the expensive "prescription" food but dry cat food is the worst thing for a cat with crystals. I tried making my own food from the website below and my cat lost 2lbs and never cried for more food. I had tried reduced calorie cat food before and this was the first food he ever ate that actually dropped his weight.

Not a hippy here, you're cat will survive fine with any type of cat food you give it just like humans would probably be fine with cucumbers and celery. It's just nicer on your carnivore cat's belly to give us most protein as possible and least filler.

That's my 2cents.

It is, but the vet is our longtime friend who doesn't sell us the food, just provides prescription. He removed large stones from cat 3 years ago with no recurrence. Thanks for the diy food link.
