I bought one like this before but came with a huge adapter and wires. Is this less footprint? Really want one.

Edit: Awesome, runs off TV USB. Great!

Uh, if it's really 14W/Meter and it is 2 meters long, that would mean for 5V it would need almost 6A! I've never heard of a 6A 5V power supply, and certainly not from a TV USB port (which is most likely 1A at the most). I've never even heard of a 3A 5V power supply. How are they expecting this to be powered? Maybe it's really only 1.4W/M, that would probably be fine using a TV USB port.

There must be more to the story. Even in the Product Description it says: Working voltage/current: 5V-24V/3x 4A. 4A probably means 4 amps. What does 3x mean? Does than mean for 3 of them? So maybe it really only wants 1.33A per strip?

In the reviews, some people said it worked with their TV's USB port, but others said they got warnings that it was drawing too much power. Personally I would not risk it unless I hooked up a meter to see how much current was actually being drawn (in total with the LEDs set to full brightness), and compare that to the specs of the TV.

Do you want colors for under cabinet? I used telephone wire, a soldering iron, and an old 5V AC adapter I had laying around. My Whole kitchen done for less than $10. Make sure you pick the tone of light you like. The cheap ones are almost blue or the other extreme - yellow.

I grabbed one of these last time. They are not bad for the money, but a good tip is to make sure you stick it on your TV or monitor somewhere where there isn't a lot of heat generated. Mine has already fallen off because of that.

This looks suspiciously like the one I bought a while back. I like the idea, but am still slightly off put by the fact that the light color changes along the length of the strip. I'm guessing it's due to voltage drop because it's a single ended connection and long runs of these always have problems with uneven voltage.
