eBags has the Professional Weekender (black only) on sale for 30% off the list price of $143.99 for a discounted price of $93.99 with free shipping using the promo code EMBNTEB0928. The 2 other colors (heathered graphite and brushed indigo) are $109.99 with the promo code. Based on camel(3x), the previous lowest price ever listed for this bag on Amazon was $109.99 on November 26, 2016. The alert I got indicated it's a mid-day flash sale, so I'm not sure how long it's going to last.

From the product page:

* 840D & 900D Twisted Poly
* Uber organized professional travel backpack - Limited Lifetime Warranty* against defects in materials and workmanship. NOTE: This is not a small bag. The size of this travel backpack is similar to a wheeled carry-on. It measures 21" H x 14" W x 8" D
*TSA recognized Travel Sentry Approved design fits laptops 2 x 12.5" W x 14" to 18 H and tablets 9 H x 10.5 W
*Includes a 3.5" x 13.25" x 20" clothing compartment and fits into the overheads of regional jets
*Easily converts from backpack to briefcase and includes vertical and horizontal luggage handle pass-thru panels
*Well-padded vented Airmesh back panel and contoured backpack straps with removable adjustable shock-load sternum strap

As a reminder, you can use your Amex $15 back on $75 offer plus additional cashback at the usual CB sites.

Also, the 30% off code appears to work on other items on eBags as well (obviously YMMV).

I have the TLS Mother Lode for couple of years and can say it can fit in most of carrier I flew, as the carry on and no questions asked.but I can pack a lot more than what a stand carry on suitcase can accomplish.

I do as well, and I've never been harassed by the gate agent, even though I load it to capacity. and it is too thick to fit in any of the sizer boxes at the airport... But I always walk on with it as a backpack... Based on my research, it would be difficult to find another full-featured piece of luggage other than basic duffel bags (overpriced at over $100!) that can carry more. The main advantage is the fact that it doesn't have the space-wasting handles and wheels. The disadvantage is that if you do load the case to capacity, it is quite heavy, and the backpack straps are not designed for comfort.

However, not sure this is a deal at $90, even with generous cash back from some sites and AMEX cashback... I just checked. I paid $52.49 after discounts (before cashback) for the black one. This was December 2015. I'm sure if you search SD back deals, you can find several past deals for under $90... But it has been a while since this bag was discounted... and I don't have a time machine... :-)

You're right, it's not such a good deal on the TLS Mother Lode within the context of historical deals, although I don't think the other deals you mentioned have been replicated in over a year. I've revised the post accordingly.

The deal on the Professional Weekender just got better for the black version -- it's now down to $93.99.
