There s been a ton of headphones sold by BuyDig on SD lately with an abnormal amount of thumbs up to comments ratio... I'm not saying this isn't a good deal, just pointing out that something seems a little fishy surrounding all these BuyDig posts showing up in popular deals and FP.

believe HDVA600 is discontinued ?! prices dropped - but not to the point of this deal ! + you are getting (my fave!) DT880 @ 600Ohm Wave the deal is really sweet ! usually (if it indeed is discontinued ?!) hi end equipment does go up in $$$ ! not saying you should jump on it Wink but wish I jumped on some stuff from the past ! I have seen it drop to ~$850 point for HDVA600 only (not sure if it's from authorized dealers ?!) and yes Wink OP is one of the most neutral sounding amps I got my ears on laugh out loud ! believe it was designed for higher end HD series cans (HD598 isn't worth it Wink but if you have one ?! try it !) anyway - from HD600 to 800 it's "a jaw dropping" experience - cause besides sounding more "natural", HD650 which are "a dark horse" - sounded more pronounced and precise ! Smilie

I did not check DT880s w/amp - but we checked low impedance HPs (99.9% sure ?!) DT990 @ 32Ohm, grado, fostex and more - all good ! it also shines w/planar and balanced (only had cables for HD650 and LCD3 Frown !) will not disappoint !

imho (and from your "And what is the amplifier for?" comment) assuming (?!) you are getting into hi end audio ? Wink if you have cash - YES it's well worth the money (besides you are getting DT880s as part of the bundle!) - solid AMP ! can you do better ?! - yes, but for much more money ! Rock

So does the amplifier allow you to adjust the balances and trebles kind of like a guitar amp? (I have a guitar) sorry I'm just a noob in the audio business but I love crystal clear audio

it's a headphone amp Wink and it will deliver "crystal clear audio" ! (what is your source - what are you feeding it?) and what are you trying to accomplish ?!) as I mentioned above - it a "magic" amp for clarity and colorless delivery ! very natural sounding amp ! will compliment most audiophile cans / for the money ! doubt you can do better ! Rock

no - you can not ! but it will do "jaw dropping" improvements to a source material (like vinyl) to make it sound more natural, w/much more detailed low end ! Rock

btw - if you are using a phone or tablet as your source ?! a lot of players offer you an EQ in one form or another (some are more advanced!) but I find that most recordings (even older - 70's laugh out loud) are right on the spot ! level-wise it could be low ?! but otherwise I always appreciate the work sound engineers do ! the reason I mentioned vinyl - cause we mainly used it as a source ! and vinyl gives you unsurpassed sound fidelity / imho - mainly due to stylus being physically balanced ! Rock anyway source would be your choice Wink if you go digital you will need a dac ! Smilie

How does it adjust bass without any controls?

if you are looking for "beats lows" ?! Wink this amp is't it ! but for precise reproduction of what is recorded - this amp shines ! for example : in "thriller" by Michael Jackson / beginning of the song has a thunder and a "boom" at the end of "thunder segment" ! most of the people who love the song and listened to it numerous times Smilie newer knew it was there (good luck w/beats!) ! or right before minute 2 there is a door slam ! most HPs and and lower quality amps would sound more like a drum beat than a door slam (not sure what was actually used in recording ?! but it's a door slam !) who doesn't like "macarena" by los del rio ?! - toward the end of the song there is clapping (part of the song) - most people never heard that there is a second, slightly delayed clap ! and it sounds really good !!! and many more nuances we are missing ! although it does look minimalistic (so is beyer A2 & A20) - both, sennheiser and beyer, concentrated on sound reproduction ! both came out w/flying colors (actually near colorless amps laugh out loud ) w/precision of much more expensive equipment ! lows are there pronounced, tight and freakishly detailed ! Rock
