LOCKED TO VIRGIN MOBILE

- DOES NOT WORK on any other carrier (AT&T/ T-Mobile/ Verizon) unless unlocked which requires 12 months of $50/ month Inner Circle Plan for unlock.

- Will NEVER work with Sprint postpaid (so no 1 year free Sprint BYOD plan) even after unlock as ESN is on Sprint prepaid blacklist

Lots of conflicting reports on when Virgin will unlock this phone. Some customer reps on this page have said immediately. Others, 14 days. Others 6 months. Others 12 months.

Which is it?????

I saw this too. But this was one of the many different conflicting reports I got. I'm thinking the policy has changed over time, therefore all the different answers.

This sounds too good to be true. How can Virgin subsidize the price of an iphone if more than half the users are prob going to unlock on the 15th day?

Is this 14-day policy the reason why there are almost no EBAY unlocking services for Virgin anymore? No one needs to pay for the unlock?

So for me:

iphone 6 32gb $199
tax $18
half a month of Inner Circle $25

Total $242

so, in order to get them to unlock, you have to buy the 50 dollar inner circle plan and wait 14 days?

Man Sprint MVMO's are usually very bad about unlocking. I'd be very skeptical of believing you will be able to long term unlock phones quickly. Make sure you do not get stuck with some phones that are near worthless because they are locked to VM.

In for two. My 6 month old iphone 6 was unlocked through ebay and came from Boost. Went down a water slide 2x and didn't realize it was in my pocket. Damn. Otterbox Defender case did nothing.

Desperately need this phone to replace that one on the T-mobile network. t's gonna be rough waiting 14 days + 2 days shipping.
