Doh I thought this looked good price wise, but I'll defer to the judgements of those SDers that know more about TVs than me.
I'll just keep sittin' here trying to find myself, I get behind myself I need to rewind myself.... Until I find a good TV!

Yea, I personally would spend a few more bucks and get the 65" OLED TV (Look for deals on here). The difference is night and day. Plus, it's only a few more hundred dollars for a purchase that will (Hopefully) last many years. My last TV (Panasonic Plasma) lasted me 15 years, and honestly, was just as good as some of the newer TV's.

Do you have a really good deal on one brand new from a Sammy authorized dealer you could link or post a new thread for please? Warranty's important.

This one's 2017 6-series, if there's another 75" comparable or better for a lot less. Last time this one was $2K after the rebate, with $500 gift card https://slickdeals.net/f/10494396-75-samsung-un75mu6300-4k-uhd-smart-tv-500-dell-egc-2000-after-slickdeals-rebate-free-s-h?src=SiteSearch

6 series today is not the same as it was before. All 6 series used to be 120hz native, now most are 60hz (120 mr)
actually I believe 6200 j6300 (2015) had 120hz, advertised as 60hz. Service menu revealed this info

My 65" Panny plasma has been great this past decade also. I'm stuck on wanting to move up to a 75" though, and I don't think a 75" oled is in the budget hehe

This is an okay deal if you're already planning to buy something from Dell in the near future and must have 75 inches. If not, this set is available for $1999 free shipping and no tax from several places like Crutchfield. I think getting the better performing Vizio M70-E for around the same price is a better choice. Getting the Sony 65x900E or Vizio P65 (for less $$) is the best choice. The difference in picture quality is worth sacrificing the extra 5 or 10 inches.

That's just my opinion.

Meh, I think these larger screens will continue to drop in price over the next 12 months. I'd certainly wait for something that provides true HDR if dropping $2k on a TV.

This is not a quantum dot TV. I think only the Q7, Q8, and Q9 have QD in the 2017 Samsung lineup. In 2016, all of the KS lineup had it.

Good info. I wonder why manufacturers are feeling the need to downgrade their mid-rangers to 60Hz panels. Vizio did the same thing this year with theirs. Probably because these sets focus on 4K which doesn't deliver 120Hz and 4K content hasn't saturated the market (yet). Before, the 120Hz on 1080p sets at this size/price range made more sense to push maybe.
