I just realized that Android Auto and CarPlay, both require a USB connection to work. Probably not a big deal for some as they are taking their phone out to charge it anyway, but for me the whole appeal of Android Auto is that I could leave my phone in my pocket. At this price point, you're almost better off mounting an android phone into your dash and running the Android Auto app. https://www.theverge.com/2016/5/1...le-io-2016

Thanks for sharing OP. Got one for the wife's new used car. I had checked about an hour ago and it showed sold out, but I checked again and found it in stock. So if you get the sold out message, check back later?

Not very experienced with these. Does anyone know how hard it would be to connect a backup camera and dash camera to the unit?

Same question. Also how difficult are these to install compared to the old cd head units?
