knick knacks. a dollar is about what they're worth.
sponsored post I would imagine, but if you need these and can wait numerous weeks not too bad

Edit: 6 thumbs up and zero positive comments...

I don't trust anything from gearbest or lightinthebox anymore.....it has been over 60 days, and still haven't received my shipment yet, requesting a refund now

These are terrible. They can't support the phone and will fall right over. Do not purchase.

The octopus mounts are actually fairly sturdy, they're more meant to wrap around a tree branch or bench seat rather than be used as a tripod. and I use the cell phone mount with my ACTUAL tripod and it works just fine. I have a Note 4, it barely fits, but it holds it pretty snugly. Deff worth a buck or two.

As always from gearbest or banggood, try to select "Priority Line - etc" or Registered air mail at the very least, it costs a little more, but you get your package within 2 weeks, not months. With tracking info. If you cheap out with free shipping, you'll be playing the guessing game as to when/if it's gonna show up.

I would bite but I don't figure saving the $2 is worth it giving my information to a relatively unknown retailer. They may be fine in theory but I just rather pay the extra dollar and go through eBay

lol well that's reassuring! I only really wanted it for the clamp and I thought I could use the tripod for other things.

The cheapest price for the storage pouch I can find on eBay is $2.99 [ebay.com]. There is minimal padding so I wouldn't put anything that's fragile and unprotected in there. It does look handy for travel, data transfer, troubleshooting purposes: holding various cables and adapters (full/mini/microUSB, microUSB 3.0, type C, lightning, OTG, ethernet, HDMI, etc), microSD cards and adapters, flash drives, hard drive and card readers, AC adapters and USB battery packs.

As for the tripod, I did get the phone holder with it last time. The rubber rings (on the ball joints) and feet are more slippery than grippy so I wouldn't put anything too heavy or valuable, or use on unlevel ground, or when a fall can damage your phone (say, high off ground, concrete ground vs. wood table surface). Also, adjust the legs while your device is attached and positioned to the desired orientation so the whole thing balances on its own, i.e., don't adjust the tripod then put your heavy phone/camera offsetting the balance.
