For those that have an Nvidia Shield TV, Samsung is releasing a Smart Things USB link that allows the Shield to act as the hub.

There are some bundles available too that include light bulbs and a motion sensor. Pretty cool if you have a Shield TV and are thinking about adding some automation. Shield TV just received the Google Assistant update as well and Smart Things works with Google Assistant/Home.

I am guessing shield has too be on 24/7. How much electricity doesn't compare to the Samsung SmartThings Hub.

Thanks

The Nvidia shield uses 3.5watts when idle.
Smartthings hub uses 3 watts.
