pros:
  • guy jewelry.. looks nice to me
  • online reviews indicate a good solid build quality, and that it keeps fairly accurate time
  • description doesn't specify whether the movement [wikipedia.org] indexes at 4 or 8 Hz, but the video shows that the second hand has a nice "sweep" motion
  • self-winding (while it's being worn)
  • water resistant.. though I wouldn't test this feature

cons:
  • a fully wound spring will run the watch for about 6 hours before it stops (if not being worn)

conclusions:
  • I'd use Android Wear when I need functionality
  • this is less about functionality, than it is (disposable) eye candy
  • I just saw it and ordered one.. thought I'd share the find

None of the reviews would lead me to that conclusion,
but I can't say with any certainty until I have one in hand,
which will take about a month.
I'm hoping that you're wrong.

If I were a betting man...

Still, interested in your eventual review, if only out of perverse fascination...

He's not, most if not all are made with cheap materials. I buy dozens and dozens to give away to relatives back home. They all look fancy and pretty but are junk. If you just need it to work then that's fine but don't even expect them to match your $15 timex sold here, they are that cheap.

Looks like my "ik colouring" watch from about 10 years ago for about the same price from Dealextreme (or was it "Fifth Unit" at the time?. Still works but I don't wear it much if at all. Cool to watch the movement. I remember wanting to get the "ghost mystery watch" but never did.
