This is Nvidia Max-Q design. All the new Inspiron 7000 series Gaming laptops with GTX 1060 are based on Nvidia Max-Q technology and you can read that in the landing page and then going to the feature section: Here is what written:-

Yes you can. It has a spare 2.5" slot for SSD or HDD. Also the M.2 Slot where the M.2 SATA III SSD is plugged in, does support PCIe NVMe SSD as well.

The only downside to the inspiron line is the plastic casing..

You gotta be real careful, or it will crack on you.. especially near the hinge. and near the cpu vents where the heat degrades the casing integrity after a while.

Nice deal! You might be able to get some cashback via rebate sites or paying with a discover card.

There is a similar, slightly more expensive deal for the Lenovo y520 through Lenovo corporate perks. Also 15.6'' FHD IPS, i5-7300HQ, 8GB DDR4, but with GTX 1060 3GB and 128GB SSD for $870 prior to tax. You can also try to combine it with a retailmenot cashback for $75, but I'm not sure if it's reliable.

Decent Deal!

6gb ddr5, ddr4, super new mobo and chipset, High power Cabby Lake(01/17), dell patch no loop, same gpu as desktop, best manufacturer, way better specs than a similar ailienware.

Cool

That's attributed to the overall build quality, which can be categorized under "budget." Exactly what separates it from the XPS lineup. Basically, no one should be shocked if after 6mo-1yr, the hinges get weak or the encasing is slightly worn/damaged. This is a budget laptop with premium specs.

I don't think that applies to this line in particular. The monitor mount is pretty good.
The frame itself is pretty sturdy too.

When it's new, it'll seem like that.. but I assure you, plastics get lose.. especially in things that heat up and cool down..

The GS63VR from Fry's is a great option for something with better build quality but no SSD included. But it's also a full pound lighter (just over 4lbs) and thinner.
