This seems OK but why is it showing up in "Travel" deals? Bad hashtag?

It's a subscription DVR. Click on the link:

Quote from Amazon.com :
• Record 4 shows at once and up to 75 hours of HD programming.(1) Replaces your cable box and works with your existing subscription (requires CableCARD); or plugs into any HD antenna to record over-the-air channels easily (over -the-air reception varies by location and is impacted by multiple factors).
• TiVo service subscription is required. Options include a monthly service plan at $14.99/mo and a 1-year commitment,(4) and an annual service plan at $149.99/year.(5)
• Your favorite streaming apps are fully integrated: No more switching inputs, remotes or devices. Access Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO GO, Hulu, Pandora and more from one, integrated experience.(2)
• Watch eye-popping 4K/UHD content. Fully 4K/Ultra High-Definition compatible right out of the box, so you can soak up all that crisp color, clarity and detail.
• SkipMode allows you to skip through entire commercial breaks of recorded shows at the press of a single button.(3) QuickMode lets you watch recorded shows 30% faster with pitch-corrected audio.

With so many streaming options for on demand video, why would anyone want this? I can watch any shows episode from any season over the internet so why record it at all?

Not everything is available online, streaming quality is worse, things are not available for streaming immediately, you can send recordings to mobile devices for offline viewing, etc.

Good luck streaming live sports legally without a cable sub.

You cannot watch most shows
1) Right away without waiting 1week or 10 days
2) A Month or so after they were added to on demand, they are being removed so they can charge people per episode
3) Catching TV shows or sports live and watching them with pause/rewind and being able to skip commercials.

I've been thinking about getting this, and $110 is a great price, but remember we still have to buy subscription from TiVo, AND we have to get a cable card from Cable Company which is not free. So for some people getting a DVR from cable provider might be cheaper but this is not a bad price if you want to own your own.

I have Comcast. They give me a $2 credit for getting a cable card. I don't have to rent their box at $16/mo or whatever it costs, AND I had them remove the "mandatory" $20 HD service fee - and still get all the HD channels. I save almost $40/month with Tivo. Admittedly, I bought a Roamio OTA (free lifetime) and added a cablecard tray, but no monthly fees. YMMV. $uck Comcast.

This. I also have Comcast and that Cablecard credit makes my effective monthly fee to TiVo $10/month. In exchange I get a great DVR that I own and TV in 3 rooms without the additional monthly fees. This saves me about $40/month vs renting a DVR and boxes from Comcast.

What is the cheapest price for lifetime service? I've got to get my monthly cost down for cable - it's killing me.

I checked about a month ago. The fine print on the Bolt on the Tivo website talked about a free year but that was the only place it was mentioned. I chatted with them but they said they don't come with a free year anymore. As always, YMMV.
