I purchased and returned this set a few weeks ago (purchased off Amazon... This is a few hundred bucks cheaper). Its a nice set, high end feel (aside from the incredibly pitiful remote... What the heck they where thinking, I don't know... But system worked great with Harmony hub, so no biggie). Setup was really easy, and I actually liked most things about it... Until it came to the audio. It just doesn't do it for me. I have an older set of KEF KHT3005BL (SE) 5.1 Home Theater Speaker System, being pushed by an Onkyo TX-NR809...I was really hoping that these would provide more depth and umph, and the main driving force was that I wanted to be able to hide the controller behind my wall mounted tv, and so besides the power cord have a minimalist look setup, but with killer sounds.... But this was a no go. Maybe if it was half the price... Or maybe if I was coming from a different speaker setup...I don't know. All I can tell you is it wasn't a concern about the cost... It just came down to the sound... Obviously better than a sound bar, but not where near a "real" high-end home theater setup. I can't tell you how happy I was to switch back to my kef setup... so much more depth, my sub is so much crisper with more depth, and all around better range. I don't know, could be attributed to my receiver, but whatever the case, I'd pass... also, a Klipsch guy in a forum pointed out that they will expand to additional speaker support, Atmos, etc, but this will require a new controller (they offer firmware updates to current controller, but to get the future expansion upgrade you will have to buy a new controller module). I don't know, I'm sure there is someone who can appreciate this... Just my thoughts... But that said, killer price, great find OP!

Does the fact that they all have their own power cord mean you can use this with a lower powered receiver instead of an $800+ receiver and still get great sound?

edit: haha do you scour the internet all day looking for home theater deals? Seems like every deal involving a system is started by you

The wireless hub is the receiver/audio processor for this system, so you don't need (and probably can't even use) an additional receiver with this set-up. Each speaker has an internal amplifier.

So everything connects to the hub and the hub connects directly to your TV? And then everything else is connected to your TV as well?

Is volume controlled through the hub or your TV?

edit: link no longer works. And searching for the bundle I only find this one [adorama.com] for over $5000

What is meant by this?
"4x HDMI with 4k Pass-through (1 port includes HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 support)"

Do all four ports do 4k passthrough but only one has HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2? Or only one port has 4k passthrough?

(I'm getting into both 4k and home audio at the same time so I'm a newb)

edit: is this a sponsored sale just for Slickdeals? When just searching for this bundle you get the $5000+ price but when clicking through the link it is $1800

Wireless just is never gonna cut it. It's probably fine for a bedroom but never for a main room in my opinion.

I don't think it's a wireless issue, to be honest. The wireless tech (on these) is killer... I had no issues with it whatsoever... And from what I read the integrated amps are great too... But the soundstage and depth was lacking. I think I may just have had too high of expectations... I don't know... But I don't think the wireless in and of itself was the issue or weak link with these.

It's good to see that there is focus in wireless sound by these high profile brands, I was excited to see this post because I have a lot of friends and family looking for good wireless Options, I love my Klipsch reference bipoles, since were doing some renovations I was able to have them hardwired. Before that I was looking into wireless but I didn't feel I'd truly be happy with it
