How are these compared to sonicare? I have the sonicare essence from a while back (5-6 years) and it hasn't worked well for the last 1-2 years, despite changing the brush head often.
I don't want to spend a ton on a new brush if it is going to stop being effective in 5 years.

Thx

Some threads quote dentists which state that the Oral B ones are better overall, then others who state the Sonic.

I'm sure both are reasonably close enough, but more importantly, both miles better than manual brushing.

If you got a second person who needs one, then this should be a good deal.

They're close, but Oral-B is better in my opinion. I have Oral-B for years and no issues at all. At my annual checkup, my dentist says I can tell you've been taking care of your teeth. Consumer Reports rated Oral-B #1 in electric toothbrushes.

This Costco deal for 2 is a good deal.

I had a sonicare diamond. The battery life is better on the sonicare but the cleaning performance is an entire different game with the Oral B. Not to mention my sonicare shaft, where the brush head goes, would get a lot of play after 1-2 years. So far no issue like that on the Oral B.
