I hate to ask a question that seems to be asked a lot, but I've yet to read a definitive answer. Does walmart allow for return/rebuy? One store near me has a bunch in stock at full price, and 5 miles away is another store with 0 in stock @ $30/each.

If I buy it for $129 at store #1, and take it to store #2 and tell them I wanted to return it and rebuy so I can pay with a different CC, will that work? I've never tried it, and I know walmart is always YMMV with regards to just about everything...but if someone has done this successfully recently, I'd like to know.

Since your perfect testing scenario exists and the two stores are only 5 miles away, why don't YOU try it out, post your findings, and finally give us a definitive answer to a question that you admit "seems to be asked a lot"?

So a number of observations.

First, I think we have all had varied experiences at Wal mart and no one can give a definitive answer to this. So you'll just have to set aside a few hours and try it.

Second, you always have the backup of price protection with a number of credit cards.

Finally, I have successfully done it. I did something that was admittedly a little tricky to succeed. I took the product to the front desk and said I wanted to change my payment type. Then as he was completing the transaction I said you know what I need to grab a few things so let me just take it and I'll buy everything together. Walked through the store a bit, grabbed some microwave dinners and some socks, then checked out as normal. Easy and no eyebrows raised about it.

Because I wouldn't get there until tomorrow and I wanted to see if this was even worth planning in to my day. Since it seems like it may just work, I'll give it a shot and will absolutely report back with my luck. Say a prayer for me and wish me luck. Peace

Good deal.. fyi they're about $59 on eBay, so there's an alternate option if you can't get this locally.

Nope... That happened many times, now even if it's the same store they don't allow price adjustment after a few days, if you're going to return it from the same store they allow you to, but you wouldn't be able to buy it at the spot if thw price is lower

btw, those hoping to order from amazon and then doing DPP, it might not work as the desc of item on amazon invoice says "Oral-B Pro 5000 SmartSeries Power Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush with Bluetooth Connectivity Powered by Braun"

as opposed to the item description in DPP screenshot in OP.

I remember reading it in the clearance thread that the names of items need to match exactly for discover to approve the claim.

Can anyone confirm if my understanding is correct ?
