Looking to jump on a pc for a little bit of gaming. Generally a console gamer just a few games I want to play that are pc only. Is this decent specs/price?

3gb is kind of cringe-worthy but not bad for the price

It's just fine for 1080p gaming on high, but definitely not for anything above that.

Yeah that's the problem, not future proof at all. A Xbox One X will out perform that card Frown

It's decent. Not amazing, but it'll surely play anything on the market very well, and the GPU is a VR-Ready card!

Problem is you're wrong. This machine can heavily upgraded, but is more than powerful enough to play every single game on the market in high details as is. The One X has a CPU roughly equivalent to an i3 in terms of performance, and its GPU is on par with the 3GB GTX 1060. Do your research and don't thread crap.

Not true at all. I play on an UltraWide quad HD with medium to high settings with my laptop 1060, which is clocked lower than a desktop variant. It can even do 4K just fine if I turn details down.

Really? Some of the most popular cards on the market still only have 2GB. Name a single game this can't play.

How good can this play old games in ultra high settings (talking bout like 5+ year old games) right out of the box?

Yeah, average price. Personally I'd look at getting a refurb laptop with the 1060 at this cost. Once you factor in an upgrade you're to the graphics card you're around what it would cost to buy a system with a 1070/1080.
