I got one of these a few weeks ago. The hose kinks really easily.
You are right that kinking can be an issue with these hoses. The real strengths of these all rubber hoses are flexibility in cold weather and extreme durability even when exposed to the elements. They can literally last a lifetime unless inadvertently cut or punctured. I own several that have lasted 10+ years and counting.

Great hose, LIFETIME warranty (at least as long as Sears is around). Easily repairable.

100x better than those expandable hoses which are just a latex tube inside that spring leaks constantly.

Best hose I've personally ever owned. It does kink easier than some, but that's because it's more flexible. It is lighter as well. The decreased weight and flexibility make it easier to handle than a traditional hose, and it seems very durable. The fittings are very nice as well.

When considering the price and lifetime warranty, consider that Sears may not be around much longer to replace them.

I have 3 50ft ones for more than 8 years.. Rarely ever kink..Best hoses I've ever had..For the price it's a great deal.. Only downside is they are a little heavy...

this is a real good heavy duty hose.....had the 100 footer but it is quite heavy though, need to have a good reel for it.

Totally agree. If you don't unwind them properly then yes they kink but if you take a little care then they are just fine.

I have a couple dozen of them on 11.4 acres and think they are just awesome.

I did get one to fail. I was several months ago now but the hose was one with a nozzle on the end and closed (so under pressure). It was probably +105°F and had been baking for about 20 minutes without the water moving through it to cool it down. I drove over it and it sprung a leak (split the rubber). Took it back to Kmart where I bought all mine and they gave me a new one. The only thing they asked me was, "When did you buy it?" To which I answered, "I couldn't tell you exactly as I have a couple dozen of these hoses of various lengths that I've bought over the last 2 tears or so, but your question is irrelevant, these are lifetime hoses." Then poof I was walking out with a new hose.

I have literally cut up and trashed all my other hoses that had all been having much worse issues with kinking, getting weak spots where they regularly kink, turned hard and crunchy, won't uncoil straight, the outer layer splits, had been damaged and repaired, etc...

These rock!

Me too, I don't want to do all the attachments to link them, would be better if the 100' is $20 and 50' is $18. Big Grin

I do have a 50' and it is heavy and hard. The hardness makes it harder to kink but it still does and less. Which contradict their advertise as "no kink".

As for can withstand all weather, if you look at rubber car tires they say the UV from the sun slowly kill the rubber. So the same apply here. It won't last forever, but if remove from the sun it should extend it's life greatly.
