I see that Toys R Us does quite a few events every month. Anyone gone? Are these always busy or dead empty? My son is 5 and really getting into legos and I thought this might be interesting, specially that last week. legos and star wars? yes, please!

Go to many and well organized, Get there early rather than late because you will miss out.

I've been to bunch of them with my kids. Some are really popular like the Pokemon ones. Usually a line for those. Most of the other ones they just have a table or two that people just come up to and build with the provided instructions there. Plus you normally get to keep the LEGO creations they build. I'm sure your son will enjoy it. As suggested, it's best to arrive early, because you don't know how the turn out will be.

I've been to other stores that are really prepared and have pre-bagged all of the pieces for you. The one in my area doesn't normally do that. Usually it's a bunch of boxes with pieces that you have to take from on your own. Sometimes they do raffles for prizes as well.

From the looks of it, only the 10/28 mentions build and take home. So the other events might be just building/playing there. But you do get the other gifts to take home. They might let you take home for the other events, but it doesn't mention that.

Anyone else notice that you can reserve a spot online for the event tomorrow? My store says it's full. I wonder if they will have extras.
