Audible Daily Deal - The Fold by Peter Clines - $3.95 at Audible

Title says it all.
So it's an audio book about origami? That sounds rather unsatisfactory; I would much prefer a step-by-step visual guide, thanks all the same.

This is a great book and a pseudo follow-up to Clines' 14.

Ray Porter does an amazing job with the narration. Highly recommended audiobook and a steal for this price.

For four bucks, sure.

I have mixed feelings about 14. It was an entertaining and suspenseful page turner, but looking back once completed, had scads of "that's absurd" moments that you ignore due to the suspense.

After reading the synopsios I think they made a movie about the sequel to this book. I think it's called "The Mist"Smilie
Do I need to read 14 before diving into this book?

No need. The two books are only loosely related.

I genuinely enjoyed this book up until the last hour or so, when it falls apart pretty rapidly at the climax. It almost feel like an entirely different book. I probably would still read it for the plot but that last third was just bizarre.

Agreed - the finale was bizarre at best. I'm all for some sci-fi suspension of reality but this went from sci-fi to just nuts. Felt like the ending of a Stephen King book, only more crazy. I enjoyed the book up to that point, though!

Great Book - Clines loosely ties some of his books together around Cthulhu mythos... Well written and well read - this is a good buy.
