Pardon my ignorance, but how is this a deal? MicroCenter's webstore, which ships anywhere in the US for $6, has the 1800x for $350 (Linky) [microcenter.com]. They also have the 1700x for the same price as Wal-Mart, but MicroCenter offers $40 off if you buy a motherboard too. Chances are, if you're buying a 1700x or 1800x at this moment, you probably need an AM4 motherboard and the discount they offer is worth it.

Benchmarks for 8700k have it at or above 7700k single core performance in all metrics which still blow 1800x single core performance out of the water.

Same, I had no idea you could order deals from them now. I've been religiously scrolling past MicroCenter deals for years out of spite. I'll have to watch out for one of their cpu+mobo combos.

I believe it's $30.

The 1800X is one incredible chip. I picked up the Dell 5675 with 1800X, RX 580, and 256GB SSD/1TB HDD pre-built from BBY over the weekend for $1049, and am super pleased with it.

The 1800x is not available for shipping like the other CPU's at Micro Center unfortunately at this time. It is a "find online buy in store" item.

It's pretty rare that any MC or Frys deal are able to be shipped.
