Woke up to an email from Chamberlin today and saw they are having a deal right now where you buy their new MyQ Smart Garage Hub bundle with a Home Bridge using code SGHHBPCK50, you get $50 off. That is essential a free Home Bridge!

Keep in mind the new Smart Garage Hub was just released yesterday, it is MyQ-G0301, not the previous model MYQ-G0201.

I preordered the new MyQ Smart Garage Hub on Amazon a few days back and was going to buy a Home Bridge separately. Perfect timing as it saved me $50! I quickly canceled my Amazon order and placed it though Chamberlain directly. Chamberlain does charge for shipping and for me, Ground was $13.

Good deal, but my S8 wouldn't allow me.the full feature set.. why do companies make their devices so Apple-centric?

So should I get this if I have an Android? What motor model do I need to buy with us? Also, I use the alarm.com platform for my automation. Is this worth it considering my circumstances? I actually just built a two car garage and need some openers.

Also keep in mind with Chamberlain that they charge an additional $1/mo "premium API" fee you want to connect your MyQ enabled doors to IFTTT.

If true, this is a deal breaker for me.

Also, does this solution work through Chamberlain's cloud servers, or is it a standalone customer-premises solution?

Any good alternatives to Chamberlain (I have an Overhead door opener)?

Why would you need both the MyQ Smart Garage Hub and a Home Bridge? Doesn't the garage Hub connect to your WiFi?

Linear makes a 'generic' smart opener. works with Zwave. I have it connected to my Abode home security but it also works with smartthings.

It is true. You also need to pay for google home and smartthings support (it used to work with smartthings, but chamberlain made them disable it). It makes for a terrible precedent. I'll never buy another chamberlain product.

Thank you very much for letting me know I will never purchase this that's one thing I will not support when a company tries to make money from us to be able to use there Products properly and charge for us being able to use are smart stuff is ridiculous there's not many other companies that do that because the more we share technology together the more advanced that we will become companies like this one will just hold back things. Thanks again buddy

I beleive the MYQ-G0301 will already be homekit compatible. If you looks for user manual from other sites (like home depot) it says so.

There is no reason they would bundle a HomeBridge hub if Homekit was already a feature. The HomeBridge's only purpose is to add Homekit. Nothing I have seen shows HomeKit is already in the main smart hub.
