As long as you're not brand new to Sprint, you should be able to pay off the device from Sprint via phone or the Sprint app, I believe in 30-60days, sometimes sooner.

If you upgrade a device on Sprint do you have to activate the new one, or can you continue using your existing device? To explain, I'm trying to pay off the S7 Edge to use on another account.

Any upgrade fees to watch out for?

Yes depending on your plan Sprint charges anywhere from $20-40 for activation /upgrade fees

When you Upgrade from an existing device, the old device can still be used just on wifi, no cellular service. And can be added to any sprint account later on or sold.

Thanks !!! I was able to get this deal over my lunch hour. I was actually considering going to iphone with the lack of deals on Sprint Android phones lately. They added the phone to my SERO $50 plan with no problems, and no plan changes. Nice upgrade from my Note 3 that has a failing sim reader and missing LTE bands.

That's two upgrades to my SERO lines within the last few months, the other was at Best Buy with an iphone SE.

Any case recommendations for this phone?

Thanks, won't work then. My husband won't want to go from his S8 to an S7 edge. Just trying to get my daughter a phone and I was hoping my husband could upgrade, not activate the S7, pay it off, and I could use the S7 on my separate account. Doesn't look like that's possible though.

Thanks for all the replies!

You activate the S7 in store. When you get home. Go to Sprint.com to swap it back to S8. Once the S7 is deactivated. you can use it on any line.

how exactly do u know that?

no expiration date listed for the gift card

Call up your local Sam's Club to see if they have the device in stock. The offer expires Oct 31st, the gift card doesn't expire. Purchase food, gas, a tv, etc.
Makes so much more sense. I thought the stuff in parenthesis was about the gift card but it's about the offer.

Not at the moment, but Verizon does have the S7 and S7 edge for $9.98/m or $11.98/m with a $100 Gift Card atm.
