$500 Prepaid Card for Xfinity Internet retention + Mobile (YMMV)

Xfinity retention is offering the following deal:

Quote :
Current Internet customers in good standing that are at risk of disconnecting XFINITY services are eligible for a $500 prepaid card if they activate a new XFINITY Mobile account. New mobile phone purchase is required, though the customer does not have to port their existing mobile phone number.

To be eligible for this offer, retention/loyalty agents will add the appropriate offer code to the customer's account and customer must purchase Mobile by 12/4/17. Also includes West division Retail agents. COE Specialists CANNOT add retention promo code but should be aware of the promotion.
You need to make 3 months' on-time payments to get the $500 prepaid card.

So basically, I was qualified to get the $500 for free as we were already looking to sign up with Xfinity Mobile.

This is better than the Double Play (new signups) or Triple Play (old customers) deals as you don't need to get TV service and has a shorter lock-in.

Xfinity Mobile Unlock Policy seems to suggest that their devices may be unlocked immediately even if it is under EIP: https://www.xfinity.com/mobile/support/article/115004305128/am-i-eligible-to-unlock-my-phone

-You purchase an XFINITY Mobile line no later than seven days after your XFINITY Internet installation

-You purchase a new Apple, Samsung, or LG device when you sign up for XFINITY Mobile

Friendly advise; IF you are planning to sign up with Xfinity Mobile; try calling their customer service once...last time I called for an order cancelled even without telling me; the automated service was advising

Waiting time is 36 hrs or

try to chat with them online; there are like 423 people in front of you to chat with them...

Good Luck !

I'm calling BS here! Share the link, or a pic of the agreement in your account. Everyone who got in for the free $200 can see the promotion online which was added to account.

I can add this is legit in NJ, i just got off the phone with Comcast.

Spoke with retentions and she did not offer this offer to me, but when I mentioned she said she could extend it to me.

So you need to keep the service for 90 days before they will process the gift card and then another 4-6 weeks. So, really you're in it for about five months and not three.

The cable side has to add this to your acct and then you can add a phone on the mobile side. You can also add a phone in the store to avoid the customer service waits for mobile, but today I only waited about 2 minutes. As mentioned, phone has to be activated by 12/4.

Still not a bad deal at all.

2 different offers. same giftcard amount.

current internet customers can call retention/customer solutions and sign up for mobile and qualify for giftcard.

new customers have to get a qualified plan to qualify.

90 days of paymets to qualify. 4-6 weeks for giftcard issued. this is the same with most other companies out there with promotions.

cheapest phone is $180. $7.50 a month if you finance it. must purchase new phone. no byod available yet.

$500 is still $500 regardless. with XM it uses verizon service PLUS wifi hotspots. most people get the $45/month per for unlimited data. or $12/month shared per gig if you do that instead. first 100mb free shared data. so in reality you use this as backup phone and not use ANY data, $320 profit getting the basic phone. nice deal imho.

I called and spoke with retention/customer service, I signed up about a month ago for the mobile service 45 bucks a month. Great service in many areas I've traveled..Washington DC, Maryland, NYC, So.florida.
And when I asked about the $500 card...I was put on hold for a bit. Now I bought a Samsung S8 plus about a month ago, when I got the service. She came back and asked if we pay off your S8 plus would that be good. Of course, I said HELL YEAH!..and they refunded back my first payment of 65 bucks. I was holding on for about 30 mins before I spoke with someone. But this may be a shot in the dark offer.
But worth the shot.

so you can get the iphone 8 for $700 plus $45/3months minus $500 equals $350. Not bad for an 8.

I call there customer support number 888-936-4968, I had to wait for about 25 to 30mins before I got an agent I then asked about the $500 credit card offer, I told her I'm a xfinity/comcast customer..and I bought the S8 plus about a month ago.
Is there any way I can get in on this offer. She took my information and ask me to hold while she checked the offer..
