Per brickseek, many stores around my area have this well-reviewed sprinkler for $9. One store "close" (30 miles away) to me has it for $5.

SKU 106678073. http://brickseek.com/walmart-inve...=106678073

Per 3xCamel, the lowest ever on Amazon was $7.87 almost 5 years ago. It's currently on Amazon for $18.76.

I've had very poor luck with this model sprinkler. I've owned two and inevitably the internal gears start to slip and it stops oscillating while in use. If you're going to periodically check on it, it's probably okay but if you have it on a timer (say you're keeping new grass seed damp several times a day while you're at work), then you should look elsewhere.

Thank you, as I was going to get two specifically to do what you said! I'm replanting my front yard and needed something to water throughout the day...saved me from wasteful spending

Ugh i just bought 3 of these from Amazon for 20 each

Great sprinklers by the way better then the craftsman since it has a water adjustment valve on it.

Lots of lawn and garden stuff marked down... 4gal backpack sprayers, spreaders, probably grass seed now or within the next couple weeks, Zero G flex hoses, etc.

These have a lifetime warranty. You should call Melnor and see if they'll replace your bad ones.

Thanks. I didn't realize they were lifetime. I'll definitely give them a call.

I have this sprinkler (or one extremely similar to it... not sure if mine has the water adjustment) and it has worked well for me. I had it in the exact scenario mentioned above (on a timer watering fresh grass seed) for a couple of weeks and it worked flawlessly. It also had much better coverage than another sprinkler that I own. The width adjustment is nice too.

Darn, I just bought the last two at my local Walmart today for $19.99 each. Funny thing is that Brickseek shows quantity -3. Hahaha
There aren't any left at $9 near me though.

I used them already. I am redoing the lawn. They are working well for what I need.

I have a similar model and their sq ft claims are way over exaggerated. Expect half with very good water pressure if this is like their grey model that claims something like 3900-4100 sq ft.
