Installation is required? Confused And costs $110??? this barely offsets that cost. I usually buy tires online and get them installed and lifetime balanced for roughly half that cost.

Looking for new tires currently. Where do you find that type of deal?

Does not work on all Michelin tires and not likely to be best deal from prices I see.

$1,645.53 for set of 4 Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4 245/40R18XL Winter Tire. No discount shows up.
I [aid $897.00 two years ago at sears when they had a buy 3 get 1 deal.
Balance was $52 now $76.

245/40/18 Michelin PSS @ $1127.76 plus tax at sears is also way over priced as I paid under $776.30 installed at Costco.

Michelin PREMIER A/S 235/45R17 $887.80 with discount at sears. I paid $691.23 installed at costco.

At my local dealership, you can pricematch the tires. So, if you can find a place with cheaper labor, then go for it. Smilie

Will they match a Gift card and Sears rebate though? That is not exactly apples to apples with a sale.

I hav SYVW points about $100,but little bit pricey than what I paid at Costco. Premier LTX (147each) + 60 installation - 130 discount at Costco. 154 each tires + $88 installation + $10 disposal + $10 envrionmental fee - 140 rebates at Sears

If it's a rebate only through Sears, then no. Unless they can get it through other means. A lot of rebates they can match or find elsewhere through the manufacturer.

I've seen some places advertise discounts as their own. Like as though their shop is the only one that has it. But a lot of times it's a global discount and businesses just put a spin on it to get people.

When I had tires installed at Discount Tire Direct last year they did it for $16 per tire for tires I bought online from them. The guy at the store acted like he didn't know about the $16 deal (commission must be based on a percentage of the sale), but I had the printout from the site ready to show him. I can't find the $16 price on their site anymore, so I assume they've raised the price. I bet it's based on tire size and aspect ratio like most tire places now.

That's probably fine for a beater with steel wheels. Otherwise, I'd avoid Walmart.

Be sure to double check the date codes on all tires bought at Sears. With the low foot traffic through their stores, you can bet their inventory sits around a long time.

Huge markup on install at Sears, maybe works out for some though.

Nope, that's still the case. I think it ranges between $15-18 or $16-18 depending on where you live, environmental fees, etc. My local America's Tire (California Discount Tire) installed by DTD tires on two different cards for $18/each out the door ($15 + $3 CA enviro fee if I remember correctly)
