Note that the Brita Longlast filter, which filters more contaminants, also has 50% on the second item and S&S:

Add 1 to cart with S&S, then adjust quantity to 2 and adjuster delivery frequency to the max

This seems like a really good deal... just note that you can often refill them yourself for much cheaper.

Yes, it's fine. Anti fluoride people are up there with the anti vaccine people with the pseudo science. Its beneficial for tooth longevity and the public health benefits outweigh any "claimed" risks after decades and decades of use and study.

Here's a quick overview

Sure, but Brita filters don't really filter out much except for the chlorine taste.

So it's kind of a moot point in regards to failing water systems.

OSMOSIS systems remove most.

Brita filters only remove maybe 50% of dissolved solids in water. Osmosis systems can remove 90-99%. These don't do much other than make your water taste better. Doesn't remove most of the fluoride, chlorine and other harmful chemicals.

You will notice on the top of the Brita filter cartridge some radial slots for allowing water into the filter.

Whoever wrote that is an idiot, those holes are there for a reason and it's to let trapped air escape.

stuff like this will kill you if not done correctly. Too much work and risk to save $1 a month.

Not sure what my local Sam's sells these for or even Costco. Anyone have a PPC as compared to these two discount warehouse stores?

I think Costco sells it for around $32 for ten with coupon (reg - $42). So about the same as this.
