WM has PNY version with dual fans for $189.00. Was doing some research on that one and came acrross a article on that the PNY model uses Hynex memory. This apparently limits performance and appeal to cyber currency miners vs Samsung memory. Haven't seen if that effects gaming or CUDA cores for Photoshop.

Interesting that this recent price cuts in video cards may be in part because of diminishing demand from miners at least at lower level cards. I'm also holding out for 6GB.

I don't want to scare anybody but when I had a zotac gtx 970 back then and needed to sent out for warranty repair, it took them over 2 months to get the GPU back to me.

Almost every other gtx 1060 now use hynix memory which is much inferior compared to Samsungs.

But at least it was repaired, right?
I don't want to scare anyone, but I got exactly this card for this price EXACTLY one year ago!
The card it is still running perfect for my needs!

That's unfortunate. I also had my Zotac GTX 970 fail (well the fans did), they ended up sending me a 6GB 1060 because they didn't have anymore 970s. While it wasn't super fast I had my new card in 3-4 weeks.

Like 5% difference and the inability to select "Ultra" textures.

I have several PNY GTX1060 Dual Fan, bought between May-June 2017, they came with Samsung memory. I agree with you, there is consitent and stable information that newer 1060 from PNY (including all Palit brands - Gainward, Palit, models OEMed for PNY, Galaxy) are fitted with Hynix VRAM.

Holy "f" word! Big Grin
I wanted to say that Inno3D is also a part of Palit group, just needed to check it for truth.
And it comes Inno3D sells GPU mining builds, similar to Pandaminer, Pangolin and Antminer G1/G2.

If anyone decides to order some, could you please tip me some finneys? ))
