Impressive find! This is a great deal. I paid $35 for a used nomad 7 without a guide 10 a few weeks ago.

Anyone know if non-club members can shop in store for an up charge, as you can online?

ETA: I answered my own question. You can print a one-day pass from their website and pay a 10% up charge in store.

Just become a member if you haven't before. There are always good new member deals floating around. You usually get around half the membership cost back in a coupon. You'll get the cost back in gas alone most likely. I fill up the tank every time I go.

I picked this kit up about 2 months ago for $50. This kit is more of an exploring the option with solar power and accessories. The Solar Panel does not charge as much as other options on the market, but the accessories are pretty nice to utilized.

Not really. The flashlight head is relatively weak and the USB connector is a very weak point in the design.

The solar panel is small and isn't good for much, other than slowly charging a single battery.

It would take forever and a day to charge up an actual battery pack.

This reminds me of a fisher price 'my first solar panel' kit. It's just not good enough for most people to find it useful.

I can't imagine anyone I know paying up to $99 for a cheap solar panel, and a single cell 18650 lithium ion battery pack.

I have a similar kit with this same solar panel, but with a rechargeable battery pack. I've owned it for five years and haven't had any issues. In full sun, I have four fully charged AA or AAA batteries in a few hours. It's a great deal at this price.

This whole time I've been mentally reading "Switch 10" as "Guide 10". Your post finally made me realize that!

Do you have any suggestions/recommendations for solar panels that do a better job of charging? Thanks!

I have the guide 10 version of this and it works great for backpacking and kayak camping. I clip it to the outside of my backpack, or the deck of the kayak and charge an external battery all day while we are out. It seems to charge even while not in direct sunlight. It wouldn't charge nonstop, but I was even able to get it to kick in and out of charge with a full moon.
