Got this without a coupon last week. Well worth it for picking up dog hair daily.

How does this compare to Neato and Roomba? Good warranty? I want this to last forever.

I got this exact deal last time it was posted which was almost exactly a month ago. Completely worth the money!!!

I have two dogs that are indoor (Husky/Malamute puppy mix & Chow Chow/German Shepard mix). Completely shocked at how much hair and dirt this thing picks up on a daily basis that I can't even see! The container fills up with hair and dirt 2/3 or all the way full. I'm always shocked. This is with daily vacuuming, frequently grooming my dogs, and a Winix 5500-2 air purifier running 24/7 that I clean weekly. 😱

Most of my house is tile and wood flooring except one room. This little thing sucks up dirt and hair from corners and spaces I couldn't get to daily. ❤️ Can't speak highly enough about this little vacuuming robot, really a great investment at an amazing price.

The Wirecutter/Sweethome has the DEEBOT N79 model as their pick for the best "good cheap smart robot."

I believe they're almost the same, but the N78 is great mostly for bare floors, does not have have a brush/uses direct suction (best on non-carpeted), 3 cleaning modes, Ni-Mh battery, and has a little bit of a longer run time than the N79 (Lithium-Ion battery).

Here's a useful comparison table and notes with all the models and their differences.

How does it map the floor? Using ceiling? Because I have ceiling fans.

I believe this model has no rolling brush so it's limited in its capabilities. This is good for pet hair on hard floors. No robot vac is going to last forever. If that's what you're looking for, buy one from Costco or BBB as they're both good with returns.

Because they're decent for the price? I bought one on the last sale and it's worked pretty good for a $135 "roomba" type vacuum. It's a good entry into these without spending $400 on a roomba.

You want mapping? Get out your credit card.

For $135, you won't easily beat this little bot. Mine is running around right now. Got it on the last sale at $135. Well worth it. Relatively quiet. Surprising how much crud it picks up. Have to empty out the dustbin twice a week. Not perfect. Doesn't map. Who has mapping under $400? Does get stuck on some obstacles. Mine vacs tile, wood, and tight weave area rugs. Has issues with furry bathmats, and rugs that have rolled up edges. If you get it, plan on emptying it frequently. Plan on having to retrieve it from places it gets stuck, or remove all obstacles. Don't expect super, loud, suction. It's a gradual pickup cleaner, but it gets the job done. If it doesn't get stuck, it will find its way back to the charger before it's out of juice. I'm surprised and impressed by the one I got in August.

Doesn't the Xiaomi mi have mapping, I'm not sure what is meant by mapping also. That's ~$300 depending on where you look. Got mine last week and I love it, no complaints at all.
