Supposedly the best generator in this size is on sale online or in store.

http://www.northerntool.com/shop/...ent=165020

The sale is also for other honda generators too. I am just posting the most popular ones. You can find the sale here with up to $200 gift card:

http://www.northerntool.com/shop/...zYB9gzUCjd

Possible $100 rebate(prepaid visa card) with Honda Credit card purchase. edit: looks to be the same Honda promotion.

Update 11-2-17. $100 gift card online for $1000 order.

Sale is on most (all?) Honda generators.

Acme Tools has the same sale. EDIT: The gift card is from Honda and should be available through all dealers.

Not the greatest deal in the world, but I guess I wonder whether you can still use a Honda credit card and get an additional $100 off? I'm guessing Northern Tool, although a participating dealer, isn't going to let you double dip on the rebate?

Not online only, in-store as well. And yes, these are absolutely the best machines in their class.

It looks like there is an additional $100 Gift card available too, though I am having a hard time finding the details on it.

Acme Tools has the same sale. May be a better alternative for some to save on tax.

I wonder if ACME is a participating dealer? Maybe the extra $100 would work with them? Some of us pay enough tax to negate the gift card savings.

Thanks OP! What's the difference between the two models you posted, all I was able to tell so far is model EU2000I1A3 and the EU2000i?

EDIT: From this looks like the 1A3 can be daisy chained to another

EU2000i Companion has an integrated L5-30 receptacle so to run in parallel with a EU2000i all you need are the cables.

otherwise, if you buy (2) EU2000i's you need the parallel kit which has an external box with the L5-30 receptacle

The more expensive one is the Companion unit which has a 30 amp outlet on it for use when connected to a second EU2000 to double the output.

More info here: http://powerequipment.honda.com/g...-companion

to run two you need to buy the companion and the cables or do the cables come with the companion?

nevermind, cable not included

is this strong enough to power fridge?

Guess I'm not familiar enough to know why the 30 amp connector is beneficial, but one has the 30 amp connector with no DC charger connector and the other Has 2 20a outlets with the 12v connector. $100 price difference.

edit: I get it now. I didn't realize the parallel kit was just cables and no outlet. So you need one companion to make a higher amperage output with both connected since the cabling includes no 30 amp outlet.
