You asked why anyone would buy this TV when there's a completely different 4K TV available for less.

I answered that TVs, like cars, are pretty different, despite having the same basic features. Saying that two TVs are equivalent because they're both 4K is like saying two cars are equivalent because they both have 4 wheels.

I used two widely known car companies to illustrate my point - that both cars provide the same basic functionality, but some people will pay extra for better performance.

At no point did I say that Vizio is the BMW of TVs - that's ludicrous. Trying to match up cars to TVs is a silly exercise, but if I had to, I'd say Vizio is more like Hundai with their Genesis Coupe - great performance at a lower price than the competition, but without the reputation and esteem.

In any case, I'm sorry that you misunderstood my analogy, and that it seemed to upset you. I hope I have cleared up the matter, and I hope you have great rest of your day.

This is totally wrong. From the look of it, very few people were able to take advantage of the OD pricing error (most orders got cancelled after the fact), and this is actually a very good price.

not the same. you're going to get flamed!

P65 vs E65

E65 is their entry level which microcenter had for $700

M is the next...

P is their flagship...

something along those lines.

After the Office Depot offer earlier this week, I don't see many people biting on this.

Except for us unfortunate few that weren't able to take advantage of the Office Depot deal because they were already sold out. Frown

I know but I'm going to hold out for OD possible price mistake. https://slickdeals.net/f/10614816-vizio-65-p65-e1-at-office-depot-969-99-delivery-only?v=1

I was one of the first to order but I agree this is a good deal too.

Is this available in store also? If so is it cheaper than 1299? Most of the time the online price has shipping built into it.

Woot! Been eyeing this for a few weeks waiting for a price drop. Was going to wait until Black Friday but had to bite on this.

Extra year of warranty and 2 years on top of that if using the Costco credit card.

You get 2 years for using ANY CITI credit card, not just Costco one.

Debating taking the chance and holding out for my OD deal or going after this

or you could get 5% back from (corrected) VISA at walmart price match? Without joining a club.

I'd rather have an extra 2 years of warranty over $65 cash back since the warranty will cover to replace the entire cost of the TV up to $1300

Thoughts on the P65 vs. the M70 (or M75)?

I know the P65 has better picture quality but it seems the M70 and M75 are also slightly reduced at Costco in price (and I have a large family room).

Any price-matching to be had from the bait-n-switch sites for this purchase?
