What's the little port with a thunderbolt on the Acer, then? And why does it say it has it?

Where it is saying that it has? It just has a normal USB 3.0 Type C Gen 1 Port with 5Gbps data transfer. If you think that Type-C means it is Thunderbolt 3, then you need to better learn couple of new tech things before suggesting other folks.

Google isnt that hard, is it?

https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Aspir...B01N35Z1DA
"1 - Thunderbolt 3 (Full USB 3.1 Type C) Port"
" Connectivity comes in the form of a USB Type-C port with Thunderbolt 3 for speeds up to 10Gbps and support for dual 4K video output simultaneously, two USB 3.0 ports (one featuring power-off USB charging), two USB 2.0 ports, and HDMI connection."

https://www.notebookcheck.net/Ace...344.0.html

"However, Thunderbolt 3 via USB 3.1 Type-C Gen.2 is installed. Thus, the full 3.1 transmission speed (max. 1212 MB/s) should finally be supported."

Are you an idiot? The Amazon model is not same as the B&H model. Looks like Google is very hard for you...
ACVN7593G76S -> B&H model
VN7-593G-73KV-> Amazon model

Are you an idiot? The only difference between the two models is that one comes with an SSD. My oh my you are dumb.

And yes, that means amazon now has the model with an SSD and 1TB HDD on sale for $1150. A lower price than I originally posted that was $1180 at B&H for the 1TB HDD only model. laugh out loud

Bro, Acer has several models for Nitro series and that does not mean that all will have Thunderbolt 3. Can you provide me any link for the model ACVN7593G76S , stating that it has Thunderbolt 3.....then we will believe.

EDIT: I did the research for you and CNet site does mention that both are having Thunderbolt 3. So now I believe you. My point is that if you can provide proof backing up your claim, I have no issues. And I as mentioned, there are several V15 nitro models and most of them are not with TB3. I checked in Cnet.

Nitro series is huge. VN7-593G is two models. Both use the same chassis, cpu, gpu, ram, screen, keyboard, connections, etc. Only difference is one has a 256GB SSD.

I just showed you that they have thunderbolt 3. I can't do more than that. Not really sure why you care about the B&H one anymore considering it's $30 more and doesn't have the SSD. Regardless, the description on B&H for it says
"1 x USB 3.1 Type-C"

No reason to believe it's any different than that on the 73KV

That is my point: "1 x USB 3.1 Type-C" does not mean it is Thunderbolt 3. Even some $600 Inspiron or $450 HP Specre X2 come with USB 3.1 Type-C Port...That does not mean they are TB3. So I wanted a link to explicitly mentioned it to have TB3, which I found in Cnet site.

Point taken. And regarding Type-C port, that is just a new interface. It can be GEN 1 which gives exact same speed of USB 3.0 port, 5Gbps, Gen 2, which gives 10 Gbps, twice of GEN 1. Thunderbolt 3 port has been implemented over 3.1 Type-C Gen 2 port but it needs extra circuit to reroute the PCI Express lanes from the CPU to the USB Port...which is not cheap. Only the higher end models come with it. A laptop can even have a GEn 2 3.1 Type C port without implementing Thunderbolt....Just faster data transfer at 10 Gbps.

The Acer Nitro over heats like hell, reaching 90 degrees within 15 minutes of gaming. The Dell has no thermal throttling, will last longer and has better battery life. As long as its the IPS screen model the Dell always wins
